A severe windstorm has caused significant disruption across the Maresme Central region this February 12, resulting in one minor injury and widespread power outages.

In Mataró, local authorities responded to over 50 emergency calls. Reports confirm 40 fallen trees, one of which struck a vehicle, causing minor injuries to the driver.
Transport has also been affected in Premià de Mar, where the Rodalies train station was closed due to safety concerns regarding roof structures. Road traffic faced delays due to debris.
Utility provider Endesa is working to restore power to 700 households in Cabrera de Mar. The local weather service, Meteomar, predicts further gusts of up to 75 km/h throughout the afternoon.
