The council intends to demand criminal responsibility and maximum legal force against the detainee, considered the alleged perpetrator. The investigation by the Generalitat's Rural Agents has confirmed that the fire was intentionally started from five different points simultaneously, shortly before eleven in the morning.
Given the rapid spread of smoke, authorities decreed a preventive confinement for Tiana residents for over an hour. This measure also affected the neighboring municipalities of Sant Fost de Campsentelles, Martorelles, and Santa Maria de Martorelles, while the Mossos d'Esquadra located and arrested the alleged responsible party.
The local administration praised the institutional coordination and the agility of the rescue teams, describing their intervention as "agile and effective" on the municipal website. The council emphasized that this deployment was "decisive in protecting the municipality and people's safety," and thanked residents for their responsibility and cooperation.
Once the critical phase of the emergency passed, the Town Hall decided to take legal action to defend the municipality's interests and achieve exemplary punishment. The institution stated in a press release that "starting a forest fire is an attack on our natural heritage, people's safety, and everyone's effort," warning that an ecological attack of this magnitude deserves the utmost legal force.
