The Local Police and the City Council of Mataró are organizing the II Charity Football Tournament on Tuesday, December 23rd, at the Camí del Mig Municipal Field to collect new toys for vulnerable children.

The charitable initiative, named “No Child Without a Toy”, will be held from 9 am to 2 pm and is part of the events celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Mataró Local Police. It collaborates with Associació Mariona, an entity supporting children with cancer in the Maresme region.

The shared goal is ensuring that no child is left without a toy during these Christmas holidays.

One of the main attractions will be the raffle of solidarity sports equipment. Highlights include FC Barcelona jerseys signed by men's first-team players, including Lamine Yamal (from Mataró), Jules Koundé, Fermín López, and Andreas Christensen. Jerseys from the FC Barcelona women's first team will also be raffled.
The charity aspect is extended with jerseys from the Centre Natació Mataró women's water polo team and a signed ball. Furthermore, basketball player Willy Hernangómez has donated a signed jersey. Teams from various security forces and local entities will participate, such as the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Mataró Firefighters, and the Mataró Bar Association.
