This measure, effective from October 1st, aims to facilitate resident parking, improve public space management, and address citizen demands. The areas incorporating permanent green zone regulation are Antoni Doltra, Can Pelai, plaça Sara Llorens, and Illes Canàries, all experiencing high parking demand.
Within the Antoni Doltra sector, the affected streets are Avinguda de la Generalitat, Avinguda de la Hispanitat, and Passeig de la Marina. In the Can Pelai sector, the streets included are Calella, Pelai, Avinguda dels Tarongers, and Miquel Biada. The plaça Sara Llorens area now includes Avinguda de la Mercè, Carrer Salvador Genís i Bech, Rambla de Catalunya, Carrer Misser, and Carrer Pintor Fortuny. Lastly, in the Illes Canàries sector, new spaces are located on streets such as Eivissa, Illes Canàries, Sant Jordi, Santiago Rusiñol, Illes Balears, Comtal, Girona, Prat de la Riba, Jaume I, Menorca, Progrés, Cristòfor Colom, and Consolat de Mar.
Additionally, 122 new green zone parking spaces have been created across various parts of the municipality. Of these, 52 are on Carrer Casaldàliga (Pinemar), 33 on Carrer València (Poblenou), 22 on the side of Carrer Garbí (Poblenou), and 15 on the side of Rierany dels Frares.
The City Council reaffirms its commitment to free green zone parking for residents, aiming to facilitate daily mobility and local parking. Residents who pay the Mechanic Traction Vehicle Tax (IVTM) in Pineda de Mar receive their resident parking card by mail, and eligible individuals can also apply for the corresponding sticker by paying an annual fee.
