New solar lighting on Can Palau street in Sant Cebrià de Vallalta.

The Sant Cebrià de Vallalta City Council will completely renovate the lighting in the Can Palau area, replacing the current luminaires with 179 new solar units.

The initiative, which has the financial support of the Diputació de Barcelona, involves the installation of lights with a power of 30 W. Most will be placed in the same locations as the old lights.
To minimize light pollution and protect the natural environment of the urbanization, warm light luminaires have been selected, with a color temperature equal to or less than 1,800 kelvins.
These new solar luminaires include batteries to ensure operation even in the absence of direct solar radiation. The system will also allow precise regulation of operating hours and light intensity.
One of the key benefits of the project is the elimination of electricity consumption from the grid, avoiding the need for new infrastructure and significantly reducing operating costs.
The total cost of the project amounts to 99,902.14 euros, including VAT. The Diputació de Barcelona will subsidize approximately 92,000 euros through the Renovables 2030 program.
