The Tiana Negra literary festival will hold its fourteenth edition on January 23 and 24, 2026, in Tiana, Maresme, consolidating its position as the main showcase for Catalan crime fiction.

The event, which kicks off the literary calendar for the year, will focus on two key anniversaries in the publishing world: the 40th anniversary of the La Negra publishing house and the 50th anniversary of La Magrana. This commemoration will feature a conversation with Àlex Broch, Àlex Martín Escribà, and Irene Solanich, moderated by the festival director, Anna Maria Villalonga.
Another milestone to be highlighted is the achievement of 100 titles in the Crims.cat collection, considered fundamental to the evolution of contemporary crime novels. Additionally, Sergeant Anna Grimm, a character created by Montse Sanjuan, will star in one of the traditional 'Cadires d’orelles' (Armchair sessions).

To disseminate Catalan crime literature, expand the reading community, and demonstrate that the crime genre is much more than just literature.

To reach new audiences and connect literature with other languages, the Tiana Negra 2026 will expand its formats. These include an informative session with Roger Heredia on forensic science, a panel discussion on the true crime podcast phenomenon with the Crims team, and stage proposals such as Quatre negres i un saxo and the monologue Un detall verbal, by Jordi Santasusagna.
The offering will be completed with a review of black cinema soundtracks, an interactive Black Route through the municipality's historic sites, and the Tiana Negra Reading Club at the Biblioteca Can Baratau. After fourteen editions, the festival maintains its mission of dissemination and growth of the reading community.
