Rural Agents have reported a fisherman for catching 22 common trout in Flamisella lake, Lladorre, exceeding the permitted limit and using prohibited gear.

Rural Agents have fined a fisherman for the irregular capture of 22 common trout in Flamisella lake, located in the municipality of Lladorre. The quantity exceeds the maximum allowed of two fish per person per day in this mountain area. Furthermore, half of the caught specimens did not meet the minimum length requirement of 22 centimeters.
The report also cites the use of unauthorized fishing gear, such as gaff hooks, prohibited natural baits, and lead weights. The fisherman, who held a valid fishing license, had also failed to mark the day of fishing, a mandatory requirement. This is not the first offense for this individual, as he had been previously reported twice for similar infractions in the same lake.
The Rural Agents proceeded to confiscate the fishing gear and the illegally caught trout. Among the seized fish that did not meet the minimum size, two specimens measuring 19 centimeters, five measuring 20 centimeters, and four measuring 21 centimeters were accounted for.

"Recreational fishing for salmonids is permitted in many high mountain lakes in the Catalan Pyrenees, except in those located within the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park and in other areas where it is expressly prohibited."
