The extraordinary session, called by acting mayoress Neus Sancho, will address three items on the agenda. Firstly, the swearing-in of the new councilor, Anna Chillida Fibla, who will join the Municipal Plenary.
The second crucial point will be the election of the new mayor or mayoress of Alcanar, followed by the oath or promise of possession by the new municipal representative.
This election follows the resignation of the previous office holder, Joan Roig, who formally stepped down from the mayoralty and his councilor position during the plenary session held on December 19.
