The Amposta City Council launched the Corresponsables project, which starting this Wednesday reduces the cost of school reception and extracurricular activities by 50% to facilitate family reconciliation.

The Corresponsables project, framed within the Temps per Cures program, began this Wednesday, coinciding with the return to classrooms. This measure applies to both public and subsidized educational centers, thanks to a joint agreement with all schools and the AFA (Family Associations).

"The project represents a very important step forward for family reconciliation, as it reduces an economic barrier and facilitates access to reception services for more children, responding to a real daily need for many households."

Núria Marco · Amposta Councillor for Education
Councillor for Education, Núria Marco, highlighted that the initiative finances part of the cost of these services so that families can better combine school hours with their working days. The director of the Soriano Montagut school, Víctor Arribas, positively assessed the measure, although he noted that the prices managed by the AFA were already quite tight.

"The reformulation of the municipal babysitting service will allow us to expand the scope of the service and adapt it better to the current needs of families, complementing school reception and reinforcing support for parenting from a perspective of rights and co-responsibility."

Núria Ferré · Amposta Councillor for Social Rights and Citizenship
The cost for families will be reduced for services that previously ranged between 2 and 5 euros per hour for sporadic use. The Temps per Cures project, which includes the reformulation of municipal babysitting and midday reception in nurseries, has a grant of 76,000 euros until June 2026, financed by the State and the Generalitat de Catalunya.
