Amposta has hosted two artistic projects as part of the Cultura i Educació - La cultura entra a l’aula (Culture and Education - Culture enters the classroom) program, an initiative by the Generalitat de Catalunya aimed at fostering collaboration between the educational and cultural sectors. The Councilor for Education, Núria Marco, emphasized the value of these initiatives in bringing art closer to students.
The experiences developed in the city included Saltant al deliri (Jumping into Delirium), part of the En RESiDÈNCiA artist residency program, and A ritme de J (To the Rhythm of J), within the La Paraula al Centre (The Word at the Center) project. Both involved educational institutions, cultural professionals, and local cultural venues. Marco highlighted Amposta's success as the first municipality outside the metropolitan area to participate in this program.
The Institut Ramon Berenguer IV participated for the first time in the En RESiDÈNCiA program with Saltant al deliri, a collective creation project developed with visual artist Alba G. Corral and in collaboration with Lo Pati – Centre d’Art Terres de l’Ebre. Throughout the course, students worked with the artist on a creative process that culminated in an audiovisual piece publicly presented at Lo Pati.
Meanwhile, students from the Institut Escola Agustí Barberà, Sagrat Cor school, and the Institut de Tecnificació took part in A ritme de J. Guided by the singer and versifier Imma Ripollés, known as Imma de Sopa, participants explored the Catalan language, music, and oral creation through improvised jota, glosa, and other forms of artistic expression linked to popular culture.
The final presentation of this project, held at the Octavi Ruiz auditorium in La Lira Ampostina, showcased the results of work combining tradition and contemporaneity, fostering oral expression, creativity, and the social use of Catalan. The Cultura i Educació program aims to strengthen ties between the cultural and educational sectors, integrating arts as tools for learning, personal development, and critical thinking among children and young people.
