FuneCamp has scheduled a new edition of its 'Concert for Remembrance' for Saturday, September 16th, at 8:30 PM, at the General Cemetery of Reus. This event arrives at a significant moment, coinciding with the celebration of four decades of municipal funeral services in the city, marking a journey of support for families in times of loss.
Admission to the concert is free, with a maximum capacity of 400 people. Registrations will open on September 7th at 9 AM via FuneCamp's official website, following a pre-registration procedure to ensure equitable participation.
With an estimated duration of one and a half hours, the artistic proposal will combine poetry, music, and dance. Soprano Natacha Tupín and baritone Fernando Álvarez, both associated with the Zurich Opera, will perform accompanied on piano by Andrea Álvarez, also a member of the same institution. Additionally, six pieces from the repertoire will be performed with classical dance choreography by a dancer.
Actress Cristina Solà will voice verses from poets such as Martí i Pol, Whitman, and Italian Renaissance authors. The musical program will include well-known pieces like 'Lascia ch'io pianga', 'You'll never walk alone', 'Cinema Paradiso', and 'Nessun dorma', among others.
The 'Concert for Remembrance. 40 years alongside families' is conceived as a space dedicated to memory and emotional support for those who have recently lost a loved one. The General Cemetery's environment will transform into a meeting place for remembrance, reflection, and hope.
This initiative, with nearly ten years of history, received the third national award in the Best Open House Activity category in the magazine Adiós contest in 2022, sharing recognition with the Bilbao cemetery.
