The Mayor of Tortosa, Mar Lleixà, and the Mayor of Amposta, Adam Tomàs, met this February 19 at the Amposta Town Hall to coordinate healthcare policies and demand better local funding.

The meeting between the leaders of the two main cities in the Terres de l'Ebre region focused on the management of municipal hospitals. The goal is to ensure that Amposta County Hospital, Santa Creu de Jesús Hospital, and Terres de l'Ebre Clinic work together with the Verge de la Cinta University Hospital.
Beyond healthcare, Lleixà and Tomàs discussed the financial challenges facing local councils. They highlighted the difficulties of managing grants with tight deadlines that often exceed the operational capacity of municipalities.
