The Eurecat technology center in Amposta is set to unveil a large-scale sculpture made of native aromatic plants this Saturday, specifically designed to support butterflies and pollinators in the Terres de l'Ebre region.

This initiative, titled The Butterfly Effect, aims to replicate this living structure in ten different locations across the Iberian Peninsula. The project addresses the alarming 70% to 80% decline in global butterfly populations recorded over the last 50 years.
Organized by the Climate Resilience Center, the event highlights these insects as vital bioindicators of ecosystem health. The Montsià installation marks the beginning of a network of green sculptures dedicated to environmental restoration.
