Amposta City Council has launched a new edition of its summer leisure program, offering 1,097 places across 22 collaborative projects for children in the municipality.

The initiative, which combines public and private management, aims to ensure equal opportunities during school holidays. The council has allocated 75,000 euros in grants to encourage collaboration between entities and sports clubs, ensuring a varied offer with an average cost of 46 euros per week.
One of the program's fundamental pillars is attention to diversity. Of the total places, 234 are reserved for minors in vulnerable situations, including those referred by Social Services and participants in the Educational Environment Plan. As a novelty, this year includes children linked to the Neighborhood Plan, with specific actions in the Vila, Grau, and Pla d'Empúries neighborhoods.
To facilitate the participation of children with special educational needs, the council funds 600 hours of additional staff support. Furthermore, the collaboration with the APASA entity continues, participating in eight projects this year to promote coexistence and social inclusion.
