The Amposta City Council has renewed its annual agreements with nine social entities in the city, allocating a total of 129,600 euros in financial aid. These agreements, recently signed, aim to boost the work carried out by these organizations for the benefit of the community.
The subsidies are distributed based on the specific activities and projects of each association, with the primary goal of strengthening social action and support for individuals and groups in vulnerable situations within the municipality.
“"These entities reach where the administration cannot, playing an essential role in building a more inclusive, cohesive, and solidary city."
The mayor highlighted the importance of the work done by these organizations and acknowledged the reliance many have on public funding to sustain their operations.
The nine entities benefiting from the agreements are the Catalan Association of Fibromyalgia Sufferers (ACAF), the Amposta Association of Retirees and Pensioners, the Amposta Women's Association, the Association of Relatives of Mentally Ill People of Terres de l'Ebre, Apasa, Red Cross, Caritas, the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's Patients of Montsià (AFAM), and Fussmont.
