The Amposta City Council has taken a decisive step to renew street cleaning, while also approving budget modifications for investments in paving, facilities, and municipal service management.

The plenary has validated the procurement board's proposal for the new cleaning service, which will come into effect on September 1st. This measure aims to strengthen resources allocated to the maintenance of the municipality's streets.
In the economic sphere, a credit modification of 1.332 million euros has been approved. These funds will be allocated to actions under the Pla de Barris i Viles and to increase the paving budget for 2026, keeping municipal debt below 40%.
The council has also ratified the filing of a contentious-administrative appeal against the Generalitat resolution that mandates the implementation of a Low Emission Zone in the city. Furthermore, the reorganization of the sports area has been approved to facilitate the expansion of university studies in Dentistry.
