Amposta's electric boat La Perla welcomes 6,500 passengers in its first year

The sustainable vessel completes over 200 river routes, boosting local tourism figures in the Montsià region.

The electric vessel La Perla in Amposta has closed its inaugural year with 6,500 passengers and more than 200 completed routes along the river.

According to data from the Amposta City Council, 900 passengers took part in organized activities. Meanwhile, the local tourism offices in the city and Poblenou served nearly 4,000 visitors throughout 2025.
Domestic tourism represented 73% of the total, with many visitors arriving from the Basque Country, Aragon, and Madrid. International travelers made up the remaining 27%, led by visitors from France, the Netherlands, and Germany.
