Councillor Èric Esteban officially requested his withdrawal from the Junts per Amposta municipal group this Thursday to join the non-attached members at Amposta City Council.

Esteban, who ran as number two in the 2023 local elections, has also left the political party, citing hypocrisy and a lack of effectiveness within the organization's assemblies.
The Junts party will now hold six seats instead of seven in the plenary session, remaining the main opposition force in the capital of Montsià. The move will be formalized on February 23rd.
