The incident occurred this Tuesday morning, around 8:30 AM, during a traffic stop established in the municipality of Amposta. Officers stopped a vehicle and questioned the driver about the contents of the load, which was covered in the rear.
During the inspection, officers discovered numerous travel and trash bags filled with football t-shirts that appeared to be counterfeit. When asked about the destination of these garments, the man could not provide any supporting documentation.
The driver stated he was heading to the Amposta weekly market, where he intended to sell the t-shirts. The arrest is part of the effort to combat product counterfeiting.
