Delta Ebre Port has presented the preliminary results of the Ebre Rowing Tour, a new active tourism proposal that has covered the Ebro River in stages, from Ascó to La Ràpita, with the participation of German rowers.
This initiative is part of Delta Ebre Port's strategy, an alliance formed by Ports de la Generalitat, the La Ràpita City Council, the Tourism Board of the Tarragona Provincial Council in the Terres de l'Ebre, and the Tortosa Chamber of Commerce. The goal is to consolidate the territory as a leading destination for sustainable and deseasonalized nautical tourism.

"These days we have sown a seed that we hope will bear fruit in the future. This is a project that not only benefits La Ràpita, but the entire territory, promoting sustainable tourist navigation on the Ebro River."
The pilot test consisted of a stage-by-stage route adapted to the river's conditions, with sections between Ascó, Benifallet, Tortosa, and the mouth, reaching the Alfacs Bay and docking at the port of La Ràpita. This experience combined sports practice with the discovery of the Ebro's landscape, culture, and gastronomy.

"The project is fully aligned with the working lines for promoting river tourism. We will work to incorporate improvements that make navigation even more comfortable and consolidate this proposal in the long term."
The president of the Tourism Board of the Tarragona Provincial Council emphasized that this initiative is the result of joint work between administrations and international agents, highlighting the value of the Ebro River as a key tourist asset for a sustainable and quality model. From the German Rowing Federation, the experience has been highly valued, noting that the Ebro River has great potential to be part of European rowing tourism circuits, with the intention of incorporating the Ebre Rowing Tour into European river route catalogs.
