The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 56-year-old man in Amposta on February 6 for allegedly practicing dentistry without the required professional qualifications.

The investigation was triggered on January 19 following a complaint from a patient. The victim reported that the suspect operated from a room in his private residence and demanded full payments in cash before completing any treatments.
In a bizarre turn of events, the suspect attempted to continue his practice even after a fire damaged his apartment, leaving the consultation area without a ceiling and covered in ash.
The Official College of Dentists and Stomatologists of Catalonia confirmed the man was not registered. Records show the individual had already been reported for similar activities in Amposta back in 2024.
