The Josep Roncero School in Freginals has unveiled a new artistic mural, a vibrant piece created jointly by illustrator Joan Turu Sánchez and the school's students, bearing the motto 'We grow together at school'.

The Josep Roncero School, located in Freginals, has seen its exterior walls come alive with a new artistic mural. This work was conceived by Catalan illustrator Joan Turu Sánchez in direct collaboration with the school's students.
The mural, characterized by its intense color and deep symbolism, carries the main slogan ‘A l’escola creixem junts’ (We grow together at school). This message highlights the importance of coexistence, shared learning, and the personal development of children within the educational community.
The initiative was driven by the Parents' Association (AFA) of the Josep Roncero School and received support from the Freginals Town Council, which actively collaborated in bringing the project to fruition.
Joan Turu Sánchez, born in Sant Just Desvern in 1984, is a renowned Catalan illustrator with a career deeply rooted in education. His work, often cheerful and creative, aims to convey human values and advocate for the Catalan language. He has created over a hundred school murals across Catalonia, many with children's participation, transforming educational spaces into more inspiring environments.
This new creation in Freginals follows the artist's artistic and participatory line, bringing vitality to the school's outdoor spaces and strengthening the sense of belonging among students, families, and the school itself. The educational community has welcomed the action with great satisfaction, considering it a positive artistic and emotional imprint on the municipality.
