The Canigó Flame will once again travel through Terres de l'Ebre and Sénia this Sant Joan, uniting over thirty towns in a shared celebration of culture and language.

The fire, renewed annually at the summit of Canigó, will be distributed by volunteer teams with the support of the Rural Agents. This tradition, linked to the summer solstice, serves as an element of social cohesion and a claim for cultural identity in Catalan-speaking territories.
The organization Òmnium Cultural has coordinated the distribution, which will officially begin at the Tivenys Town Hall. From this point, the fire will be divided into five routes reaching various locations in Ribera d'Ebre, Terra Alta, Baix Ebre, Montsià, and Sénia, including Benicarló.

"It is a legacy that must be transmitted firmly to our young people so they can guarantee its future, while also encouraging the participation of newcomers and diverse cultures, who are part of our collective present."
