The event, promoted by the Penya Bou Capllaçat of La Ràpita, aims to highlight and consolidate one of the most deeply rooted traditions in the Terres de l'Ebre. It will bring together fourteen towns from the region, plus Albocàsser (Castellón) as a guest town, and will feature the exhibition of seven bulls exclusively from Ebro region ranches.
The Councilor for Festivals of the La Ràpita City Council, Helena Queral, emphasized the Penya Bou Capllaçat's trajectory and its commitment to preserving this tradition, recalling the success of the 20th National Congress of Bou de Corda the previous year.
For his part, the president of the Penya Bou Capllaçat, Antonio Carmona, explained that the meeting is conceived as a day of fellowship to celebrate the entity's 50th anniversary and give prominence to the territory.
The day will begin in the morning with a musical aperitif and a fellowship lunch. At 4:30 PM, a parade will take place from the Municipal Stadium of La Devesa to the port area, and at 5:00 PM, the bull exhibitions will commence.
Participants include Sant Jaume d’Enveja, els Muntells, Alcanar, Santa Bàrbara, l’Aldea, Amposta, la Sénia, Campredó, Jesús i Maria, la Cava, Masdenverge, and La Ràpita, along with Albocàsser. The bulls will be from Ebro region ranches such as Fernando Mansilla, Germans Príncep, Pedro Fumadó, Eliseo Adell, and Germans Margalef.
