The La Ràpita Town Council has reduced its average payment period for suppliers to just 6.8 days during the final quarter of 2025, a significant improvement in local finances.

This figure marks a sharp decline from the 25-30 day average recorded in 2023. Mayor Xavi Reverté attributed this success to a comprehensive economic overhaul that has cleared the municipal debt, which previously stood at two million euros.

"We have gone from a Council with nearly two million euros in debt to a Council with zero debt and a healthy financial situation."

Finance Councilor Marc Brunet emphasized that faster payments enhance institutional reputation and encourage more companies to bid for municipal contracts. The administration aims to further streamline the internal billing process throughout 2026.
