The city of La Ràpita is gearing up to experience another day of magic with the celebration of the II International Magic Festival on June 13th. Following the success of the first edition, the event aims to solidify its position as a key cultural fixture in the municipality and the region. The Sixto Mir Auditorium will serve as the main venue, with two shows scheduled at 6:30 PM and 10:00 PM, featuring distinguished figures from the world of illusionism. Tickets are already available for purchase through the Notikumi platform.
During the festival's presentation, the mayor of La Ràpita, who highlighted the positive reception of the first edition, encouraged citizen participation. He stated, "After the resounding success of the first festival, we haven't stopped there. We are holding a second edition and will continue as long as there is enthusiasm and the public asks for more." He also emphasized the importance of offering such a significant cultural event in the municipality and praised the festival's director, Jordi Caps, as "an international reference in magic."
The festival is directed by the renowned magician Jordi Caps, recognized as the first and only winner of Got Talent Spain. Caps explained that the objective is to reposition La Ràpita on the international illusionism map, declaring: "We want to make La Ràpita the magic capital of the world during this weekend."
Among the confirmed artists for this second edition are Celia Muñoz, a finalist in Got Talent America and winner of Got Talent Spain, known for her residency at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. Also participating will be Charlie Mag, who will debut an inédit act; Dani Polo, a leading figure in grand illusions and winner of the European magic award; artists who have received national awards for comic magic; mentalism specialists with television appearances; and Mago Murphy, who will host the gala.
The artistic director stressed the continued commitment to quality and artistic excellence, stating, "The success of the first edition confirms that the public values quality. This second year, we are taking another step to establish La Ràpita within the circuit of major magic festivals."
The councilor for Culture, noting the high anticipation for this edition, remarked, "Many people are already asking about tickets and are waiting for this festival. What Jordi Caps brings to La Ràpita is top-tier talent and an opportunity to continue promoting our town through culture." She also expressed gratitude for the support of the Provincial Council of Tarragona in making the staging of such high-caliber shows possible.
