Mossos d'Esquadra of Terres de l'Ebre Celebrate Squads Day

The institutional event in La Ràpita recognizes the dedication and meritorious actions of agents in territorial security.

The Terres de l'Ebre Police Region celebrated Squads Day on May 7 at the La Ràpita Exhibition Hall, an event to recognize the work of the Mossos d'Esquadra and other security professionals.

During the ceremony, 97 internal commendations and 4 external ones were awarded, in addition to 6 decorations, which include two for meritorious actions, one for professional career, and three of an external nature. Several institutional recognitions were also granted, such as 7 metopes, a bronze figure, 4 commemorative plaques, and 8 acknowledgments. Finally, a tribute was paid to the families of two deceased mossos.
Among the distinguished actions, that of an agent from the Tortosa police station was recognized. On November 11, 2025, this agent saved the life of a truck driver involved in an accident on the AP-7, in the municipality of l'Aldea. The agent acted quickly to extract the victim from a burning vehicle.
Another meritorious action was carried out by a corporal and an agent who, on April 29, 2025, rescued a family intoxicated by carbon monoxide in Amposta. The agents evacuated a semi-unconscious man and rescued a two-year-old minor before the arrival of the Firefighters.
