UE Rapitenca Wins Manolo Añó Trophy in Amposta (0-2)

CF Amposta and UE Rapitenca competed in the sixth edition of the trophy with a narrow away victory.

UE Rapitenca has secured the VI edition of the Manolo Añó Trophy by defeating CF Amposta 0-2 in a match played at the full Amposta Municipal Stadium.

The match, held last Saturday, September 5th, was intense and evenly contested, with chances for both teams. Rapitenca opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the first half with a penalty. Towards the end of the game, in the 87th minute, a set-piece play from a corner sealed the match with a second headed goal.
This encounter served as the final pre-season test for both squads before the start of the official 2026-2027 season competition.

The award ceremony was attended by Manolo Añó, the CF Amposta's masseur for 61 years and the trophy's namesake, along with club president Carlos Gilabert; Amposta's mayor, Adam Tomàs; and the Councilor for Sports, Iris Castells.
