Ulldecona is preparing to host the Patrimonium 2026 cycle, which this year will be dedicated to the total solar eclipse scheduled for next August 12th, an astronomical phenomenon not to be seen again until 2053.

The City Council, along with Turisme Ulldecona and various local entities, has designed a diverse program including educational activities, astronomical observations, concerts, poetry recitals, and immersive experiences. The aim is to bring astronomy closer to both the citizens of Ulldecona and the expected visitors for the event.
The program includes talks exploring the connection between protohistoric heritage and astronomy, night sky observation sessions to identify constellations and planets, and performances by the Traveling Planetarium. Cultural proposals combining spirituality, body movement, and ancestral music are also planned, as well as a sound experience with binaural sound and object positioning in space, linked to astrophysics.
The main event will take place on August 12th at the Castle of Ulldecona, one of the most prominent observation points in the area. This historic site will combine eclipse tracking with musical performances and a special gastronomic offering for attendees.
