The arrest follows an investigation initiated on Thursday, January 22, after a robbery with intimidation was reported at a commercial establishment located on Catalunya avenue in Tàrrega.
The individual entered the store and took advantage of the moment when the clerk was processing a sale, with the cash register open, to steal the cash. Several customers and store employees immediately rushed the thief in an attempt to stop him.
Despite the intervention of several people who tried to restrain the thief, he managed to flee the establishment with the stolen money.
The alleged thief, who has numerous prior police records, was located and arrested today around 09:15 a.m. on Carrer dels Asgous in Agramunt. He is scheduled to appear before the investigating court on duty in Balaguer tomorrow.
