A landslide caused by heavy rain blocked one lane of the C-26 highway between Balaguer and Castelló de Farfanya last night in the Noguera region.

The incident took place near the Torre Nogués area. A large rock completely obstructed the lane heading towards Castelló de Farfanya. Officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra managed the traffic flow, providing an alternative path for drivers during the storm.
This event follows several landslides in the nearby towns of Gerb and Camarasa over the past few weeks. Two weeks ago, a rockfall cut off access to Gerb, where workers from the Diputació de Lleida are still performing stabilization tasks on the slopes.
Additionally, falling stones have been reported on the greenway connecting Balaguer and Sant Llorenç de Montgai. Consequently, part of this cycling route has been closed to ensure public safety, following previous concerns about its maintenance.
