The local government of Balaguer defended the legal process of the new athletics track on February 14, stating the project faces no judicial risks despite opposition claims.

The ruling coalition, including PSC, responded to ERC's warnings about urban planning issues. Mayor Lorena González emphasized that the project is a long-awaited infrastructure that meets all legal requirements.
