The first edition of Camarasa's FiraMel, held yesterday, has surpassed expectations with a large turnout, and its continuation has already been confirmed.

The town of Camarasa hosted yesterday the first edition of FiraMel, an event dedicated to promoting honey under the slogan 'The landscape you can taste'. The fair, organized by the town council and the Lleida Beekeepers Association (ALLA) with support from the Provincial Council, filled the area next to the municipal pools thanks to the public's positive reception and good weather.
Visitors were able to taste and purchase local products at the six stalls dedicated to beekeepers from Lleida, which were part of a total of 20 artisan stalls. The local honey carried the certification of the new guarantee seal from Apicultors Catalans, as explained by the Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Elisabet Lizaso.
The day's program included a 'showcooking' by the restaurant Can Pere, which prepared ribs with honey and cava. In the afternoon, there were tastings of hydromel liqueur and various workshops, including children's activities, making beeswax candles, and more tapas tastings. Music and gastronomy marked the end of the event, which, according to Lizaso, was a great success and guarantees a new edition next year.
