Since 2023, when a specific Tourism Plan was developed, Camarasa has been implementing new strategies to promote civic and safe leisure in its natural spaces. These actions include the presence of civic agents and a general reinforcement of security.
The Tourism Department continues to work in this direction by reinstalling the buoy system to delineate safe swimming zones, regulating vehicle access, placing new information signs, and providing civic agent services during peak days and hours.
As a new development, in addition to advancing the tourism season planning, 'eco-counters' have been installed at the Maria Rúbies Space, the Mu Gorge, and Sant Llorenç de Montgai. These devices will provide precise data on the flow of vehicles and people visiting these natural areas.
Given the history of accidents, including the drowning of two people last summer, the council of Camarasa emphasizes the paramount importance of safety and civility during the summer months.
