The performance of the play Bojos pel Teatre, which can be seen today and tomorrow at the Teatre Municipal de Balaguer, marks the return of the Grup Escènic Recreatiu (GER) after almost a decade of inactivity. The work was created by actor Jesús Agelet, known for his career with the company Els Joglars until 2013.
The work has been defined by its author as a "theatrical mosaic" that reinterprets fragments of classic authors to explore the soul of the company.
Agelet collaborates with Francesc Vilalta and Núria Viola in the direction of this celebratory interpretation. The proposal is a tribute to amateur theater and the long trajectory of the GER, which has been a cultural reference in the capital of La Noguera for decades.
Bojos pel Teatre constructs a collage of short scenes, lasting between five and ten minutes, which include fragments from authors such as Shakespeare, Maragall, Sagarra, Espriu, and Rostand. A total of 27 actors and actresses participate in the show, which combines music, humor, drama, and rhapsody.
