A forest fire in Camarasa, in the Noguera region, has provisionally burned 21.8 hectares and required the intervention of 60 units from the Generalitat Firefighters.

The fire, which broke out past three in the afternoon, affects the protected natural space of Aiguabarreig Segre-Noguera Pallaresa and is burning in the Serra dels Llaners. The flames have forced the confinement of the village of Fontllonga, home to 14 people, as a precaution.
According to security force sources, the fire extinction "is advancing favorably" and there is optimism about stabilizing it in the coming hours. Crews are prioritizing the left flank, which risks opening up.
The C-13 road has been closed to traffic between Camarasa and Vilanova de Meià. The plain below the road has burned with high intensity, while resources are concentrated on the roadway to ensure the fire's tail does not expand.
A secondary focus crossed the C-13, pushed by the sea breeze, causing the fire to advance northeast. The fire has crested a hill and is moving downhill with less intensity, although the head continues to generate secondary outbreaks.
Civil Protection sent an ES-Alert message at 4:30 PM requesting the confinement of the inhabitants of Fontllonga, asking them to close doors and windows and avoid traveling in the area.
