The initiative's main objective is to facilitate access to information, recommendations, and preventive resources to face the agricultural campaign with greater safety. The actions have been adapted to the specific needs of each municipality to ensure maximum effectiveness.
In Torrelameu and Menàrguens, two awareness talks were held on August 4th and 17th. These sessions, led by Hidroponent, a research project from the University of Lleida (UdL), focused on preventing dehydration and heatstroke, crucial aspects during agricultural workdays under extreme heat conditions.
Concurrently, preventive material, including bottles and informational posters, has been distributed to reinforce safety messages. In Térmens and Albesa, this material has been provided through local distribution channels.
In the case of Ivars de Noguera, actions have been tailored to the collective's reality, bringing preventive material directly to the fields to better reach workers who do not stay overnight in the municipality and commute daily.
These activities are part of a flexible and territorialized prevention strategy, combining in-person awareness, practical information, and material distribution to ensure resources reach temporary workers in the most accessible and effective way.
The Comarcal Council of La Noguera thus reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the culture of prevention and improving working conditions during the agricultural campaign in the region.
