The town of Penelles inaugurated a new immersive room this Sunday, March 17th, dedicated to the El Cor de l'Oest project, which connects seven local municipalities.

The installation features a shared narrative between Penelles, Castellserà, Bellmunt d'Urgell, Ivars d'Urgell, Bellcaire d'Urgell, la Fuliola, and Linyola. The experience focuses on water as a transformative element, specifically the arrival of the Urgell Canal in the 19th century, which turned dry lands into fertile fields.
The exhibition also highlights natural landmarks such as the Ivars i Vila-sana lake and historical sites like Civil War trenches. It concludes by showcasing the recent cultural transformation of Penelles through its famous street art initiatives.
The opening took place at the Església Vella square as part of the spring welcome festival, offering an open house day for the community in the Noguera region.
