The measure, which adds to the closure of the Gavarres massif, prohibits recreational and sports activities in these natural environments. Road traffic is restricted exclusively to access to homes or authorized travel, with any sports practice inside the affected massifs being banned.
The activation of level 4 of the Pla Alfa, the maximum protection level, has been extended to a total of 45 municipalities across nine regions, including points in Noguera such as Alòs de Balaguer, Artesa de Segre, Camarasa, Foradada, la Baronia de Rialb, Ponts, Tiurana, and Vilanova de l'Aguda.
In addition to the specific restrictions, level 3 of very high danger has been applied to 385 municipalities in 30 regions. In these areas, it is forbidden to carry out any activity with fire risk on forest land and in a 500-meter strip around them.
Authorities have called for citizen collaboration to prevent incidents. The public is reminded that if any column of smoke or suspicious activity is observed, they should immediately contact the 112 emergency number.
