Seven municipalities across the Noguera, Urgell, and Pla d'Urgell regions have introduced El Cor de l'Oest, a strategic project to promote tourism and economic growth in inland Catalonia.

The brand connects towns such as Penelles, Castellserà, and Linyola, using the historic Castell del Remei as a central hub. The goal is to offer a unified experience for visitors interested in rural art, history, and nature, moving away from previously scattered promotional efforts.
Key attractions include the Gargar Mural Festival in Penelles and the Ivars lake. Funded by the Ministry for Ecological Transition, the project aims to create new opportunities and retain talent in small villages facing demographic challenges.

"The Castell del Remei has been a meeting point for festivals and gatherings for many of these towns."
