Torrelameu Hosts Cursa de la Nòria with Notable Victories in 10K and 5K Categories

The twelfth edition of the popular sporting event, counting towards the Lliga Ponent 2026, gathered numerous participants across two distances.

The town of Torrelameu hosted the 12th Cursa de la Nòria last Sunday, a competition that is part of the Lliga Ponent 2026 and featured 10 and 5-kilometer routes.

In the 10-kilometer distance, the men's victory went to Iván Menchón, from Runner’s Balaguer, who completed the course in 35 minutes and 33 seconds. He was closely followed by Miquel Oró, from Bike & Bici Lleida, with a time of 36 minutes and 6 seconds, and Unai Sánchez, from Club Trail Running Containers, who registered 37 minutes and 25 seconds.
Regarding the women's 10K category, Noemí Aumedes, from Xafatolls, claimed first place with a time of 42 minutes and 34 seconds. Second position went to Elisa Lladós, from Pons Thai Runners, with 44 minutes and 33 seconds, while Elena Sauret, from CA Borges, crossed the finish line in 45 minutes and 35 seconds.
In the 5-kilometer race, independent runner Juanma Fernández was the fastest in the men's category, with a time of 18 minutes and 27 seconds. The podium was completed by Víctor Ferrer, from Pons Thai Runners, with 18 minutes and 35 seconds, and Rubén Baeza, from KM0 Ponent, who finished in 18 minutes and 38 seconds.
The women's 5K category saw independent runner Carla Ropero as the winner, stopping the clock at 20 minutes and 48 seconds. She was joined on the podium by Antonia Argiés, from Almiramar, with a time of 23 minutes and 10 seconds, and Victòria Perramona, who reached the finish line in 24 minutes and 31 seconds.
The race organization announced that one euro from each registration will be donated to the Associació Estel, an entity dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities, thus reinforcing the charitable nature of the sporting event.
