The incident occurred around 7:25 AM when the animal, apparently disoriented, entered the building through the gymnasium area. An employee was present and suffered a leg injury during the encounter.
After the alarm was raised, units from the Bombers de la Generalitat (Firefighters), Agents Rurals (Rural Agents), and the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) (Emergency Medical System) were dispatched to the Sant Domènec residence.
Firefighters managed to contain the wild boar until the arrival of the Rural Agents, who sedated it for safe removal, thus preventing further risks to residents and staff.
SEM paramedics treated the worker at the scene and subsequently transferred her to the primary care center (CAP) for treatment of her minor injuries.
The incident was resolved without any other individuals among the residence's users being affected.
