The town of Ponts will bring its Holy Week cultural program to a close with a sacred music concert featuring Vivaldi's renowned Gloria and a work by local composer Mn. Josep Tàpies.

The performance, by Camerata Granados, will take place on April 11 at seven in the evening at the Santa Maria church. This ensemble is noted for its approach of combining universal musical heritage with local talent.

"An experience that can only be understood through emotion, due to the power of the choral ensemble and the brilliance of the arias."

Pau Romero-Andreu · Artistic and Musical Director of Camerata Granados
The central program of the concert will be Vivaldi's Gloria and other sacred pieces by the Venetian composer, coinciding with the 285th anniversary of his death. Additionally, Mn. Josep Tàpies' Stabat Mater, a work that director Pau Romero-Andreu arranged for orchestra in 2024, will be performed for the first time in Ponts.
The concert will feature young soloists Sofía Lana, Mariam Ouacif, and José Luís Martínez from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), as part of a collaboration agreement. The Cor Diaula and the Orfeó Martinenc will also join the symphonic ensemble, creating a blend of emerging talent and choral experience.
Camerata Granados, founded in 2022 and led by Pau Romero-Andreu, has established itself as a platform for the development of young musical talent in the Lleida region. The Ponts City Council, through this initiative, reinforces its commitment to a cultural program rooted in the territory and its heritage.
Tickets, priced at 3€, can be purchased in advance at the Ponts City Council or on the day of the concert, one hour before the start, at the Santa Maria church.
