The day, accompanied by historian and writer Assumpta Montellà, author of "La Maternitat d’Elna", will include visits to the Sant Ferran Castle in Figueres, featuring breakfast and a talk, the Elna Maternity Hospital, and Colliure.
In Colliure, participants will have lunch at the restaurant La Boqueria and free time for a stroll. The route also includes a visit to Antonio Machado's tomb in the local cemetery and the monolith at the Memorial to the victims of the Argelès concentration camp.
The bus departure is scheduled for 8:00 AM from in front of càrniques, with an estimated return at 8:00 PM. The activity costs €27, subsidized by 40% by the Montesquiu City Council.
Places are limited, and registrations, including payment, can be made at the City Council until October 6th. This day aims to recover the historical memory of the exile routes.
