A forest fire in Pla de Manlleu (Aiguamúrcia) led Civil Protection to request residents shelter in place due to smoke direction, a measure lifted shortly after.

Although the forest fire that started in Pla de Manlleu (Aiguamúrcia) was declared stabilized, a large team of firefighters remains deployed along its perimeter to prevent flare-ups. Several incidents occurred during the night and this morning.
Around eleven in the morning, Civil Protection issued an alert to residents of the Pla de Manlleu area, requesting they shelter in place due to the smoke's direction. Later, shortly before noon, the measure was lifted as the fire conditions improved.
The fire has scorched approximately 80 hectares, primarily forest land, affecting the Marmellar stream. This morning, 48 ground crews from the Generalitat Firefighters are still working in the area, extinguishing several smoke columns.
While the lockdown for several inhabited areas was lifted once the incident was stabilized, various roads remained cut off, including the T-244 (Aiguamúrcia to Querol), the TP-2442 (El Montmell to Aiguamúrcia), and the TV-2443 (El Montmell area).
Additionally, two more fires broke out in Valls: one involving agricultural vegetation near the train station, extinguished by one crew, and another of vegetation near Francesc Gumà Ferran street, involving four crews. Furthermore, in Reus, a fire on Agricultura street affected 1,000 square meters and was extinguished by a single crew.
