The City Council of Vic has concluded a new edition of "Summer Street Afternoons," an initiative that filled squares and public spaces with activities for all ages.

The initiative, which took place from June 25 to September 4, brought together nearly 5,000 people of all ages and backgrounds in about fifty free activities distributed across almost all neighborhoods of the city.
The main objective of this initiative was to promote coexistence, social cohesion, and community participation, transforming public spaces into meeting points open to all citizens. The program included workshops, games, sports activities, and creative proposals designed to foster inclusion.
As a new feature, "Summer Youth Afternoons" were launched, aimed at young people aged 12 and over, with activities such as women's cricket, cooking workshops, zine creation, and an anti-racist mural, expanding the educational leisure offer for this group.
One of the most notable aspects was the involvement of nearly 40 local entities, which collaborated in the organization and facilitation of the activities, providing diversity and adaptation to the reality of each neighborhood.
The project also received support and funding from the "la Caixa" Foundation, which contributed to making the activities possible and expanding their social impact.
The evaluation of this edition is very positive, consolidating "Summer Street Afternoons" as a benchmark initiative for promoting social cohesion and citizen participation in Vic.
