The Manlleu City Council and Veolia have renewed their collaboration agreement to combat economic vulnerability, ensuring water supply for families in need.

The Manlleu City Council and Veolia have formalized the renewal of their collaboration agreement aimed at combating energy poverty and economic vulnerability in the municipality. The agreement was signed by the mayor of Manlleu, Arnau Rovira, and the director of Veolia in Alt Ter, Elias Serraviñals.
Through this renewal, Veolia will invest approximately 10,000 euros this year in the solidarity fund. This fund aims to guarantee the water service for the most vulnerable families in Manlleu, exempting them from paying the bill components owned by the company, provided they are verified by a social services residential exclusion risk report.

"Renovar aquest conveni és garantir que ningú a Manlleu es quedi enrere en un dret tan bàsic com és l’accés a l’aigua. La col·laboració amb Veolia ens permet donar una resposta ràpida i efectiva a les famílies que més ho necessiten."

Arnau Rovira · Mayor of Manlleu

"Impulsem el cicle social de l'aigua per garantir el subministrament a totes les persones i el fons ens permet assegurar que les llars en situació de vulnerabilitat tinguin accés a aquest servei essencial."

Elias Serraviñals · Director of Veolia in Alt Ter
Since 2016, a total of 123,000 euros have been allocated, covering 1,803 water bills for families in Manlleu facing vulnerability.
Veolia, which manages the integrated water cycle for over a million households, businesses, and administrations in 250 municipalities across Catalonia, also offers other initiatives to facilitate payments. These include interest-free payment agreements, the option to choose payment dates, and the "12 Gotes" plan for installment payments.
Families without a vulnerability report can apply for discounts through the Catalan Water Agency (ACA) website or Veolia's contact channels.
