The Festival in Les Masies de Roda has now begun, offering a wide range of events scheduled until October 4. The Com Fer Marro association has designed a diverse program for all ages, inviting citizens to participate and "fer poble" (make community).
Activities kicked off on Saturday, September 12, with a 4x4 trial exhibition organized by Esgarrapafang on the Fontseré path, running from 9 am to 7 pm. The participation fee was 30 euros, while public access was free. Additional information was available through posters and the Instagram account [@esgarrapafang_4x4].
On Saturday, September 26, an exciting endurance sports event, the 2H endurance race, took place starting at 4:30 pm in the football field area / La Feixa. The event was free for spectators, with registration and information available on Instagram @bttcasesnoves.
The day of Sunday, September 27, included a popular walk at 9 am, departing at 9:15 am from La Feixa, heading to the Sant Salvador hermitage. This free walk featured refreshments and musical accompaniment by Olivier Martorell, organized by Amics de la Natura de Roda de Ter i les Masies and Plataforma Mobilitat Sostenible Roda i Masies.
On Tuesday, September 29, at 12 pm, a Festival Mass was held at the Vicenç church.
On Friday, October 2, at 8 pm, the exhibition "El futbol a les Masies de Roda 1928-2010" (Football in Les Masies de Roda 1928-2010) was inaugurated. This was followed by the Festival opening speech by the Roura family, a dinner, and concerts. The exhibition was open from October 2 to 9 with various visiting hours.
Saturday, October 3, was marked by the presentation of the Miquel Arimany Literary Awards, games, sea shanties (havaneres), rum with fire (rom cremat), a hamburger dinner, and concerts.
The Festival concluded on Sunday, October 4, with a chocolate fair, inflatables and a children's show, vermouth and Festival lunch, a bingo game, sardanes (traditional Catalan dances), and a magnificent fireworks finale. The Festival lunch, priced at 20 euros (15 for children aged 5-12 and free for under-5s), required pre-purchasing tickets at the Town Hall offices.
Ticket sales for the lunch took place at the Town Hall offices from September 21 to 30, with specific hours, and a reminder that the Town Hall would be closed on Tuesday, September 29, for a local holiday. The menu included rice, milk-fed chicken, ice cream, bread, water, wine, and coffee, and attendees were asked to bring their own plates, glasses, and cutlery. Following the lunch, the Grand Festival Bingo took place.
The exhibition "El futbol a les Masies de Roda" was open from October 2 to 9. Attendees were reminded to bring their own mugs for Sunday's chocolate fair. Most events were held at La Feixa / Sala polivalent, and all were free unless a price was indicated.
