Yesterday, Tuesday, October 13th, the Voltreganès Children's Council for the 2026-2027 academic year was constituted, with the incorporation of 11 sixth-grade primary school councillors from schools in the territory.

The event was attended by the welcome address from the mayor of Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà, Gerard Sancho, and the mayor of Les Masies de Voltregà, Gil Codina. They encouraged the children to gather proposals, listen to their peers, and work with enthusiasm to help improve their municipalities.
During the day, the children expressed their expectations and hopes for this new challenge, which will allow them to actively participate in municipal life, convey their peers' concerns, and voice their opinions.
The gathering concluded with a shared snack to celebrate the start of this new chapter. The Children's Council offers an opportunity for children and young people to get involved in public life and contribute to building more participatory and inclusive municipalities.
