The team, coached by Jordi Boada, will face Club Hoquei Mollerussa, a club making its debut in the category following an agreement with Alhambra de Granada to secure a spot in Plata. The Lleida-based team arrives at the match having won the Catalan Super Cup 3-0 against Ripoll.
For this first game, Boada will be without Enric Casanovas and Bernat Picanyol due to injury. Additionally, Genís Costa is with the Spanish U20 national team for the World Championship. Ramon Camps is a new addition to the squad.

The team from Pla d'Urgell had a dream season last year, qualifying for the Copa Generalitat and winning the regular phase of Nacional Catalana.
